Egg Harbor is a place where you can explore your creative side. They have several performing arts centers and art studios to create your own art. Enjoy sunset concert series, state of the art marinas, galleries and restaurants housed in restored historic building, sometimes in the heart of the downtown and sometimes on the backroads.
Baileys Harbor neighborhood streets are perfect for biking. The water is great for windsurfing and fishing. Their population is right around 1,000.
Jacksonport is on the Lake Michigan side of Door County, just north of Whitefish Dunes State Park. It has shopping, restaurants and a great park with a beach. Jacksonport’s population is under 800.
Sister Bay, population just under 900, is known as Festival Village. There is always a festival of some sort. Short Film Festival, Goat Parade, Paddle Fest (kayaks and stand up paddleboards), all the way through Thanksgiving weekend with the lighting of the Holiday tree and Capture the Spirit.
You’ll love living where life moves at a slower pace, and they say it keeps getting slower the farther north you go. Maybe you’ll even look at Washington Island, “north of the tension line.”
