Around the Area

The Village of Howard is a suburb of Green Bay’s west side and is continually growing. Looking for something to do? Pick up your kayak and wind your way down the Duck Creek waterway that flows through the village. If you are golfer, grab your clubs and enjoy nine holes of golf at the Village Green.

Suamico is another suburb near Green Bay that is a great place to raise a family. Suamico has several nice parks and the NEW Zoo (11 miles north of Green Bay) within the Brown County Reforestation Camp. With 1,600 acres of recreational area with two shelters, playgrounds, trails, an observation tower and more, families will have quite a bit to do. Each year over half a million visitors come to the New Zoo to see over 90 different species of animal and experience the Adventure Park area with zip lines and a climbing wall. The kids will love spending time at the petting zoo and let’s not forget feeding the giraffes! The fun doesn’t stop in the winter either, just bring your snowshoes!

Close at hand to Howard-Suamico is the city of Green Bay and all the excitement and convenience that it offers. Neighborhoods such as Fort Howard have a history to them and driving up and down the streets you can see it’s a great place to raise a family. The west side offers shopping and restaurants as well as being right down the road from Lambeau Field.
